About Dr. Livermore
Dr. Livermore received his M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine (UCSF), and continued his training there through both internship and residency. Following fellowship training in spinal surgery at the University of Ottawa in Canada, Dr. Livermore joined the faculty of UCSF as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Chief of the Spinal Injury Service at the Ralph K. Davies Medical Center in San Francisco. Moving to private practice in 1982, Dr. Livermore joined the Active Staff of John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek, where he continues to provide surgical care. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and maintains affiliations with many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the Western Orthopedic Association, the North American Spine Society, the Contra Costa Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Livermore is also a Qualified Medical Examiner, State of California, Division of Workers' Compensation.
